Agile MPP utilising Netezza

Agile Solutions are resellers and service partners for the flagship data warehouse appliance the IBM Netezza 1000. The IBM Netezza 1000 is a purpose-built data warehouse appliance complete with an integrated database, server and storage area within a single, easy-to-manage system. The combination of Informatica Powercenter Pushdown Optimization and Netezza 1000 delivers maximum performance while allowing the ability to standardize database development and extend the reach of your MPP investment.

How does this work?

By decoupling data transformation logic from the physical execution plan, a single development environment can be used even though processing is spread between the PowerCenter data integration and the MPP database engine. By utilising pushdown optimization in the PowerCenter GUI, a development team can select where processing should take place thus allowing the option to drive the flexibility of PowerCenter onto the MPP platform. PowerCenters metadata-driven can then be used to deliver impact analysis and data lineage, ensuring comprehensive visibility into the potential effects of changes.

Informatica Ultra Messaging
